Here are a couple of ways to create the gorgeous Punched flowers that are on my layout - thanks to the "IN REAL LIFE" Tutorial from Kerry Murray, who was shown by Trudi Harrison.
Flower One
You will need a flower punch - this one I borrowed from Kerry Murray and it's about 2.5 in wide { I have also ordered 2 from the states - one is a 2.5 another is a 3 in!}
Punch out 3 flowers from leftover Patterned Paper you have.
Cut a slit into the centre of one of your flowers like so.
Dab a bit of glue onto one "petal" and overlap another petal over the top, hold for a few seconds so that it sticks together.
Cut out one petal from another of the flowers.
and dab glue onto another petal and glue the other petal overlapping like the previous flower.
With the last flower, cut out two of the petals - keep these aside. Glue one petal overlapping the other one over too.
Snip the bottom off of each "flower" you have created.
Using the end of a small paintbrush {or I have found skewers work well too} Curl each petal of each flower over like so.
Cut two of the petals ends off about halfway, as shown above.
Curl them both to create the centre part of the flower.
Dab glue to the centre of each flower and stick them together.
Put a dob of glue into the centre of your "flower" and stick the centre in, holding for a few seconds.
TA-DA a gorgeous flower!
and some more!
Flower Two
Punch out a flower.
carefully cut in a circular motion starting from the edge working your way in like above...
then using a paintbrush or skewer twirl it around starting from the inside out...
YAY - a LITTLE cut flower!!!
Have fun ladies!!!
And there's so much MORE you can do with punches....
