I haven't updated in a while....
My partners sister Apsara, sadly passed away on Wednesday October 5th after a struggle with an extremely aggressive Breast Cancer. Ashan made it to the hospital, with his parents {who flew in from Sri Lanka} and Apsara's husband were all there when she passed. Thankfully she wasn't in any pain. Her cancer was a rare aggressive form, and unfortunately there was a very low recovery rate {if any}. We didn't know how aggressive it was. She was a very STRONG and COURAGEOUS woman, and she had hope. Her husband was there for her in everyway, and was just as strong as her.
I regret not knowing and not being able to get there in time for the kids to say their goodbyes, but in a way I think they wouldn't have coped. It was hard enough afterwards. My kids adored her, just as she did them.
We still can't believe she's gone.
But, we must keep on keeping on, and the kids have today gone back to first day of Term 4, I really think they needed to get back to their friends and keep their minds occupied again.
And the adults must keep going on too. Ashan is getting back to work and I'm getting back into the things that I am doing - Charms Creations one of them. So please forgive me not updating or anything, but should be on track very soon!
I also wanted to make you aware of the "Girls night in" I had registered for - before the death of our gorgeous sister. So, now, I want everyone to donate in memory of her. Even if it's just a couple of dollars - every bit counts. Let's fight this disease and find a REAL cure!
She was just 38, and she had so much more life to live! It's such a terrible tragedy!

Its been a while between palettes but am happy that I've found some time again to scrap one of them! And this one was fun to create, using one of the photos of when we went for a spontaneous trip to Warrnambool! I think the best trip we've had as a family!
I've used OA 5 & Dime word sticker, Lil Somethin embellie {that i won from Scrap the girls! yay!}
Sass Lass alpha stickers...
and these flowers I made with Echo Park Victoria Gardens papers using my brand new SMALLER flower punch! I'm excited about that!
Anyway, I'm avoiding bed and not being able to sleep... but I guess I better try!

I said on Facebook that I did it last night... and here it is... the Lil Red Rocket Sketch - slightly different - had fun making it... nice and bright and fun!
I've used a cute lil red rocket doggie button...along with gorgeous embellies from Handmade by Suzanne...
and a LRR orange button from this set... the green flower was made by me... I am happy to say I have finally found a smaller flower punch to make these smaller flowers! yay!
LOVE the Basic Grey tabs!

it was World Card Making Day yesterday and I thought it would be nice to scrap a card or two or three or more...
I ended up making 6 of them - it was a lot of fun - using the Light Rainbow Multi Lovely Lollipops...
I still have a couple more packs of these left along with some BRIGHT Rainbow packs too...

I HAVE just finished the sketch but can't show you as i have to take a photo of it, BUT I did manage to scrap a "just because" layout using one of the LRR Traffic Buttons...
and how appropriate is the title too ;) hehe...

I am REALLY happy how my White with One sample layout turned out this month! I thought it was going to be tough, but everything seemed to "work" as I was creating it.... I've had this photo I've wanted to use of Mum and I for ages... and it was perfect!
I LOVE the Kaisercraft Printed Transparencies and I was so glad to be able to finally have a play with them too...
I used Black Gold Glimmermist and Kaiser Black Paint...
I sneaked a Lil Red Rocket Button on as well {make sure you check out the blog to keep updated on a sale happening soon!}

I was a bit scared of the COLOUR criteria over at the 123 Challenge - but once I overcome my fear I made it work for me! Inspired by Lou Nelson, who gave the criteria {and a great tute too!} I hope she likes!
I even managed to use WIRE on my layout - and the gold circle is actually one of my golden bangles :)
I even used Watermark ink and stamped and used embossing powder... WOW! that was fun too!
It's great to "get out of your comfort zone"
You will also notice there are NO Charms Creations on the page!
The paint I used was Kaisercraft Metallic gold paint! I LOVED how it turned out :)
I REALLY hope to see more 123 Challenge Layouts this month, as interest seems to be dwindling - even with gorgeous inspiration and prizes!!!
BTW - Winners of the Blog Train will be up shortly too!
